Technology - Reference class
The baffle-board in the reference class is made in combination of two different materials - natural wood and MDF. Cabinet (corpus) made from MDF is bonded together using a click system, which guarantees absolutely rigid connection. The baffle-board is characterized by extreme rigidity as evidenced – among other things – by the thickness of the material. The MDF is at least 25 mm thick the wood ranges from 20 to 100 mm. The front wall of the baffle-board is made of pure solid wood with a thickness ranging from 35 mm to 100 mm. Forming the baffle-board and thoroughly rounding of the edges we have achieved that the emitted sound signal is inflated by reflections at minimum levels. By means of placing of the loudspeaker–chassis “coil over coil” there is on principle no problem with phasingIt is not only about the design, it’s about the technology concealed inside, too. Group of open interior chambers has been titled "Chamber Sound Waves Absorption - CSWA". With its irregular shapes the main task is to literally eliminate the stative frequency response inside the cabinet. The chambers made of MDF with a minimum thickness of 25 mm help in the overall stiffness and reduced baffle-board resonance. All internal (full) baffle-board walls are also "enhanced" by bituminous sheets with a thickness of at least 3 mm. All openings in the chambers are carefully rounded. For the damping purpose a special dampening material Twaron "Angel Hair" is used and it’s freely distributed in all chambers.
The precision-built buffle-board is implanted with a precision electronics. Filters include long-term stable metallized polypropylene film capacitors impregnated with oil, using silver and gold (Mundorf). The air coils made of copper or silver foil, are having an excellent electrical and mechanical features (Mundorf) same with non-inductive resistors (Mundorf). For interior wiring we use only high quality speaker cables. The same conditions apply in the selection of loudspeaker chassis. Resonators (bass-reflex tubes) with both-side rounding are applied in the bass-reflex sound-systems. Gilded loudspeaker terminals with bi-wiring or bi-amping connection serve as fixing to the amplifier.
Choice and surface working for manufacturing of the sound–systems depends on customer‘s demand. Due to our experience we recommend wood with high fibre grain, for example beech-tree, oak or walnut-tree. The natural base materials as hardwax oil or polyurethane varnish on an organic basis can be used as the finish of solid wood. The result-effect of our several years‘ experience are loudspeaker-systems with an attribute to immunity of the sound-system from own resonances and a sound-expression free from strange discolouring.
